Aluminum is widely used in products that do not require high strength—such as transformers, reactor cables, chemical instrumentation, sheet metal parts, deep-drawn or spun hollowware, welded assemblies, heat exchangers, clock faces and dials, nameplates, cookware, decorative items, and reflective equipment, among others.

Copper possesses excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as good corrosion resistance and machinability; it is suitable for use in fusion welding and brazing applications.
